Colombo- Sri Lanka Today is world aids day and I went to cover a rally. the rally was organize to make awareness in people about aids, because the number of AIDS/ HIV positives increased up to 785 by the end of the second quarter in 2006. When I was in the park where the rally supposes to come, suddenly I heard a huge bomb explosion and I ran towards that area and did my job there and came back to the park and attend that rally as well… it was organized by Sri lanka Aids cantrol program and ICRC (international Red Cross).

Colombo-Sri Lanka- Kolpitty A bomb explosion at Kolpitty in Colombo, it was a suicide attack from LTTE on Gotabaya Rajapakse, brother of President of Sri Lanka (Mahinda Rajapakse). So far 17 people have been killed including his security guard. Several vehicles have been damaged and a few of them were burning at the time this was pasted. A three wheeler has been completely damaged and it is suspected that the bomb had been brought in the three wheeler. A VIP vehicle, a BMW, is seen damaged and a body severed off its head is seen near the vehicle. I am student in Sri Lanka College of journalism, and free alliance at Daily Mirror Newspaper. As I am student I went to cover an Aids rally at Veharma Devi Park, suddenly I heard a huge explosion then I ran to know what happened there with my College friends.
